So glad I came across this auto shop. I used to go to this location when it was known as Sunflower Auto, it was ran by an older couple and was recommended by my in-laws. Their service was ok and seems reasonable but sometimes the outcome of service is less than desirable. So when Sunflower retired during COVID and Yonge North Auto popped up in it's place, I was conscious. Pak, the owner is much younger than the previous owner (good thing, just like looking for a doctor. You want a long term relationship). He is certified Toyota mechanic and worked at Toyota dealership for a long time before opening his own shop with his wife. He comes across as knowledgeable and friendly when I first went to him for a oil change on my 06 Matrix. He told me the difference between the premium oil and regular oil used and why the price difference. I opted for the regular oil (no hard sale on the higher price option). He called me when oil change was done and informed me what he found as deficiencies and issues (again not hard sale), just told me to keep an eye on these issues and explained if this happens it is because of that... very pragmatic and non judgemental. He asked about my driving habits and how the car is used ... based on my answers, he planned out what issues I should address first when I have the time(not pushy). So my first oil change experience taught me this guy is very knowledgeable, honest, friendly, trustworthy and is looking out for me as a consumer. I have gone back to him for all my auto needs (even though Canadian Tire auto service is across the street from my house) and highly recommend him with no hesitation.
I have a specialty car that is not as prevalent out there and therefore 3 different shops gave me a misdiagnose when I was having some engine issues. After all my frustrations, I was referred to Pak at Yonge North Auto and he was PHENOMENAL!!! His diagnosis was so professional and comprehensive and fixed the issue! I am so grateful for his knowledge and customer service. Highly recommend this shop and Pak is truly one of a kind! Thank you Pak!!!! :)
Pak is extremely knowledgeable. Had my car serviced by him since his days as lead mechanic at Lexus and now I've followed him to his own shop. No bullshit, just get what you need done, done. Also very reliable. If you have an emergency, he will try his best to make timing work for you.

I don't have much experience with mechanics so Pak was a pleasant surprise. He gave me an initial quote and that did not change at all. Told me what needed to be done with maintenance and didn't push for any unnecessary repairs. Overall very solid experience and I'll be recommending him to family and friends.
Pak was very thorough with the inspection. He made recommendations that would prolong my car's lifespan. He prioritized the emergency fixes vs. the upcoming fixes for me which allowed me to plan my budget accordingly. Amazing service. Thank you.
What a great new auto-shop in the neighbourhood! Pak is knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. Not only does his shop offer excellent repair and maintenance services that he overlooks quality himself, but I was able to find some new tires at costco-competitive prices when Costco had them out of stock!
